Offering Study Abroad Opportunities in Okinawa,
Japan to 3 Students, Free of Charge
Japanese hip-hop icon Awich is offering an exchange program opportunity to students from Okinawa and Atlanta. Now in its second year, the "Know The World - Awich Global Education Project" aims to provide young people who face financial barriers with access to global learning opportunities. Through international exchange, the program fosters self-discovery and empowerment.
Okinawa, Awich’s hometown, is an island rich in history and culture, known for its unique southern hospitality, which shares similarities with the warmth of Atlanta. We look forward to seeing young people from Okinawa and Atlanta connect, exchange ideas, and inspire each other.

Program Content (Examples)
- Experience of Okinawan history and culture
- Homestay with a local Okinawan family
- Classroom experience at a local school
- Introduction to Atlanta culture
REQUIREMENTS
- Residents of Atlanta, Georgia who are 20 years old and above and enrolled in university.
- Those who are from households with an income between 50% and 150% of the Federal Poverty Line (FPL).
- Those who with a letter of recommendation from their supervising professor. (maximum one page letter size).

- Reason for Applying (motivation and goals for joining)
- Future Dreams and Goals (and how they contribute to a better society)
- Personal Research Project in Okinawa (activities you want to conduct in Okinawa)
Create a video (up to 5 minutes) summarizing answers to (1)-(4).
*Any format is allowed (vertical or horizontal shooting, face visible or not,
using slides, editing, etc.)
