Privacy Policy (Summary)

Awich’s agency “and music,” HelloWorld Inc., and HelloWorld General Incorporated Association (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Secretariat”) jointly use the personal information provided to the Secretariat in connection with the “Know the World – Awich Global Education Project -” (the “Project”) in accordance with this privacy policy (the “Policy”).

Article 1. Joint Use of Personal Information

The Secretariat will jointly use personal information of applicants (qualified students in Atlanta) (the “Applicant”) within the scope described below for the purposes stated in Article 2 below (as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Act).

  1. Items of personal information to be jointly used:
    Name, date of birth, affiliation, contact information (address, telephone number, email address, etc.), information related to the Project, and any other personal information provided voluntarily by the Applicant.
  2. Scope of parties jointly using the information:
    The Secretariat
  3. Purpose of use by parties sharing personal information:
    As stated in Article 2 below.
  4. Party responsible for managing personal information:
    HelloWorld Inc.,
    Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture, Central 1-7-8,
    Personal Information Protection Officer:
    Ms. Akie Karimata

Article 2. Purpose of use of personal information

The personal information the Applicant provide will be used for the following purposes:

  1. To notify the Applicant of the results of the selection process for the Project and to respond appropriately to its inquiries;
  2. To notify the Applicant of products or services offered by the Secretariat and the related parties; or
  3. To operate the Project and provide programs related to the Project.

Article 3. Prohibition of disclosure of personal information to third parties

The Secretariat will manage the personal information of the Applicants appropriately and will not disclose such information to third parties except as required by applicable laws and regulations. When disclosing personal information in accordance with laws and regulations, the Secretariat will comply with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws and regulations.

Article 4. Entrustment of personal information

The Secretariat may entrust the handling of personal information to third parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes as specified in this Policy. In such cases, the Secretariat will supervise the third party to ensure that they manage personal information appropriately and securely.

Article 5. Inquiries regarding personal information

If the Applicant wish to request correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of disclosure to third parties regarding personal information held by the Secretariat, the Secretariat will respond appropriately after confirming the Applicant’s identity or that of its authorized representative. 

Article 6. Review of this Policy

The Secretariat will review the handling of personal information and this Policy as necessary, and strive for continuous improvement. If any changes to this Policy require the consent of the Applicants under applicable laws and regulations, the Secretariat will obtain such consent from the Applicants or individuals concerned.
